Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and when you contact us, why we collect it, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Channon Coaching Limited is the controller of your personal data. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 13446848. Registered office: Channon Studios, The Limes, Cobden Road, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 3UB. You can contact us about anything in this policy at mark@achieve-with.me or by post at our registered office.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and pay the data protection fee.

What we collect

• When you message us on WhatsApp: your name and phone number as they appear on WhatsApp, your messages, and anything you choose to tell us, such as your organisation, your role and details about your team.
• When you email us: your email address, your message and anything you include in it.
• When you book a course: the contact, billing and organisation details we need to run the course and invoice for it.
• When you visit the site: anonymous, aggregated usage statistics, such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, the browser, device type and rough location (country or city), and whether a WhatsApp button was clicked. These cannot identify you. See our cookies policy.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• Replying to your enquiry and talking about training for your team: our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries.
• Preparing a proposal and running a course you book: to take steps you ask for before a contract, and to perform that contract.
• Keeping business and tax records: to meet our legal obligations.
• Understanding how the site is used and keeping it secure: our legitimate interests in running and improving the site. This uses only anonymous statistics.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.

Who processes it for us

• WhatsApp (Meta). If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are carried by WhatsApp, which processes them under its own terms and privacy policy. WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted.
• Vercel Inc. hosts this website and provides its anonymous usage statistics (Vercel Web Analytics). Like any web host, Vercel processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
• Our email provider, if you email us.
• Our accountants and professional advisers, where needed for our records and legal obligations.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers, including Vercel and Meta, are based in the United States or process data there. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified under it, or on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to two years after our last contact, then deleted.
• Client and booking records: six years after the end of the work, to meet tax and accounting rules and to deal with any legal claims.
• Website statistics: anonymous and aggregated, so they hold no personal data.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your data
• object to us using your data, or ask us to restrict how we use it
• ask for your data in a portable format

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
